ANNOUNCING OUR 2ND ANNUAL THANKSGIVING
DRIVE TO BENEFIT THE REGIONAL FOOD BANK OF NORTHEASTERN NEW YORK
"We Want Trader Joe's in the
Capital District" is conducting
its 2nd annual Thanksgiving Initiative in support of our Regional
Food Bank. For each donation made using the below form, the
Regional Food Bank will send a letter to Trader Joe's indicating that
the donation was made in its honor.
This initiative has the potential to send thousands
of individual contributions to the Regional Food Bank, and therefore
thousands of letters to Trader Joe's! At the end of the drive, Members
of the group will
present the RFB with a large poster-sized check representing the grand-total
of our effort! All donations will be graciously received and will
be used to feed the hungry in the Capital Region during this holiday
season. The RFB also gladly accepts food items (we're considering
a group trip to the Hadley Trader Joe's to buy some food to donate).
This is an opportunity to send a strong message to Trader
Joe's that the Capital Region is a generous and compassionate community! So,
please participate in our November Thanksgiving initiative by sending
in the form below.
Here's the form (please also share with friends and coworkers who might
be interested!):

HELP BRING TRADER JOE'S TO THE CAPITAL
DISTRICT!
Do the word's "Trader Joe's" put
a knowing smile on your face. If so, then you share my passion for
great, interesting food items at reasonable prices. You may also share
my experience of driving downstate or Boston or somewhere else far,
far away, visiting friends, then packing up the car with Trader Joe's
foods before returning to the Capital District.

Hopefully, you also share my desire to bring
a Trader Joe's to the Capital district.
If you are not familiar with Trader Joe's, it's sort of hard to explain.
It's not a supersized grocery story. It's a smaller store with a fun,
casual atmosphere, store clerks that are really helpful, and a wide variety
of food items which cater to many types of diets (health-conscious, Kosher,
international, etc). What Trader Joe's is NOT is a 'frufru' gourmet store.
Its just a great shopping experience for EVERYONE!
WHAT CAN I DO?
Glad you asked! Please help me try to bring a Trader Joe's to the Capital
region by doing 2 things:
- Please email me at broter2@verizon.net to
let me know you're interested
(I wont use your name without permission, but I'd like to know how
many of you are interested)
- Forward this page to your Capital District
friends/relatives/coworkers who you feel might also be interested
in getting a Trader Joe's here.
Thank you,
Bruce Roter
President of WWTJINTCD*
(We Want Trader Joe's in the Capital District)
(By the way, I have no financial interest in this. I just like the
food.
Trader Joe's is a privately held company and doesn't sell stock.)
